Give me the most hated character in the fandom. The one who emotionally manipulates his children and sends them on terrible missions. The one who’s a self-proclaimed pragmatist and acts on his own principles. The one who tries to keep the rightful heir from taking the throne so he can rule instead, all the while making himself believe he’s doing it for the kingdom.
Give me that kind of character and you can count on him somehow becoming my favourite.
Doesn’t matter that he’s evil. Doesn’t matter that he’ll end up getting himself humiliated or killed.
Because he’s interesting.
